Tractor Rules

1. For games - all contestants must be 12 yrs of age or older to drive a tractor.
2. All contestants must be a member of EDGE/TA which will provide liability insurance.
3. All contestants under 16 yrs old, must have an adult with them either on or beside the tractor.
4. There will be a mandatory tractor safety course for all individuals bringing tractors or operating tractors at the Fair on Saturday morning. This safety course will be compliant with EDGE/TA rules.
5. There will only be one driver permitted on the tractor during the tractor parade.
6. Wagons and floats are permitted in the tractor parade.  Driver/owner assumes all responsibility for the safety of the participants.  In order to drive in the parade an individual must be at least 16 yrs. Old.All wagons and floats must follow WV State Safety code: §17C-6-9. §17C-6-9 Slow-moving vehicle emblem.
(a) All farm machinery and other machinery including all road construction machinery except when guarded by flagmen or flares, designed to operate at twenty-five miles per hour or less, traveling on a public highway during day or night shall display a triangular slow-moving emblem on the rear of the vehicle.
(b) The commissioner shall adopt standards and specifications for design and the position of mounting the slow- moving vehicle emblem, as well as requirements for certification of conformance. The requirements of such emblem shall be in addition to any lighting devices required by law.
(c) The use of this emblem shall be restricted to the use specified in subsection (a) and its use on any other type of vehicle or as a clearance marker on wide machinery or on stationary objects on the highway is prohibited.

7. Tractors that are hauled into the Fair must unload in the parking area. Unloading will be available at 9:30am unless approved by the Tractor Superintendent.
8. Tractors are not permitted to leave the immediate fair grounds until the end of the Fair on Sunday.
9. All antique tractors MUST have a fire extinguisher.
